Listener’s Block: Tracks For Your Shameless Mental Health Break

posted on May.05, 2014

Every now and then, our brains need a day off. We’ve had our game faces on for quite a while, but now it’s time to check ourselves out. Maybe tune out the world’s commotion and, dare I say, maybe even turn off our phones. Let the feel-good vibes of songs fill your soul. From “Beautiful Future” by long-time Scot rockers, Primal Scream, to “Bright Whites” by experimental glee pop artist, Kishi Bashi, to “Mahna Mahna” by everyone’s favorite quirky and sarcastic band, Cake, these tracks will be your inspiration (or excuse) to just be yourself. So today, you choose to “do you.” Today, you choose to skip class or miss appointments. Today, you shamelessly choose to mosey in your underwear or people-watch in Alumni Grove. There’s no need to justify your actions; just give yourself a break. You deserve it.
