More than a radio station

WTSR 91.3 FM is the student and community radio station of The College of New Jersey, broadcasting from the basement of Kendall Hall since 1966. We’re one of New Jersey’s longest-running college radio stations – built entirely by volunteers who believe that music and community are inseparable.

We play everything. Folk, funk, hip-hop, jazz, classical, metal, synthpop, reggae, spoken word – if it moves you, it belongs here. Our DJs don’t answer to algorithms or advertisers. They answer to their own ears, their community, and the listeners tuned in at 91.3.

Today, WTSR is powered by over 200 student and community volunteers. We run 40+ original weekly shows, produce The Underground Sessions live music series, and operate a full broadcast training program for anyone who wants to learn radio from the ground up.

Our Mission

To give every student, community member, and local artist a platform – unfiltered, uncommercial, and unapologetically independent. WTSR exists to train the next generation of broadcasters, amplify the voices of the Trenton community, and keep real music on the air.
