New Local Music-Wildlife Control
posted on Mar.27, 2012
Wildlife Control is an up and coming indie band based out of Brooklyn & San Francisco and sound like Phoenix if Phoenix was made of members of the Ramones. They “use the internet to communicate and teleportation to play shows on both coasts.” Above is the video for their first single “Analog or Digital” from their EP, Spin, which was released today. Check out the EP here or, if you’re in the NYC area, head over to Arlene’s Grocery where they’re doing a Wednesday residency for the month of April. Hope to see more from these guys soon!
WTSR Serving as State HQ for College Radio Day
posted on Feb.24, 2012
WTSR is excited to announce that we will be serving as State Headquarters for New Jersey this College Radio Day! This year’s College Radio Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012. Check back soon to see what we’ll be up to on campus and in the community on College Radio Day!
College Radio Day is the day we all come together. The aim of College Radio Day is to raise a greater, national awareness of the many college and high school radio stations that operate in North America by encouraging people who would not normally listen to college radio to do so on this day. It is hoped that those people who do tune in like what they hear and become regular listeners. The organizers of College Radio Day believe that college radio is one of the last remaining bastions of creative radio programming, free from the constrictions of having to be commercially viable, and a place where those involved in its programming believe passionately in its mission.

Kyle Smith & 24 Hours of…
posted on Oct.30, 2011

If you weren’t listening on Friday, Kyle Smith successfully DJ’d for 24 hours straight! Though he lost his voice and hasn’t been seen since, we can only assume Kyle is still asleep. Congratulations on the achievement and thank you to everyone who called in to donate, be interviewed, performed or came out to watch Kyle in the Student Center!
Until next year…
