King Krule – “The Noose of Jah City”
posted on Feb.07, 2012
King Krule (formerly Zoo Kid) is 17 year old Archy Marshall, hailing from the UK. Crossing dubstep and jazz influences, his music (which some have described as “darkwave”) sounds at once mysterious and oddly familiar. His self-titled EP was released late last year, and his work under his previous moniker is available to stream via Bandcamp.

PAPA
posted on Feb.06, 2012

PAPA started out as a side project for Girls drummer Darren Weiss and his brother and childhood friend, but the trio’s EP has been successful enough to push them beyond the label of side project. They have catchy riffs, dynamite beats, and an ultimately unclassifiable sound, which makes them that much more awesome. Their song ‘I Am The Lion King’ can be downloaded for free here and you can listen to their other songs on their website. I mean, they have a song called ‘Let’s make you pregnant’. Come ON. Listen to PAPA.
