On Friday, March 16, 2012 Seth Meyers visited The College of New Jersey for the College Union Board’s Spring Comedy Show.

Seth Meyers is most famous for his role as the host of “Weekend Update” on Saturday Night Live. He also is the head writer for the NBC show.

Melissa Radzimski & Alli Wentling had the opportunity to talk to him about the writing process at SNL and social media as a great outlet for comedians.

On Saturday, March 10, 2012, Jeff Gomez spoke at the 37th Annual Trenton Computer Festival at The College of New Jersey.

Jeff Gomez is the CEO and President of Starlight Runner Entertainment. According to starlightrunner.com, “Starlight Runner Entertainment is a leading creator and producer of highly successful transmedia franchises, maximizing the value of entertainment properties and consumer brands by preparing them for extension across multiple media platforms. Starlight Runner Entertainment also produces animated and live-action feature films, as well as digital content.”

Dr. Aref Assaf is the founder of the American Arab Foundation and a regular writer for NJ.com. He focuses on Arabic, Muslim, and Middle Eastern topics.

On February 29, 2012, Melissa Radzimski & Amanda Reddington had the opportunity to talk to him about the recent NYPD scandal. Dr. Aref Assaf explained that the actions of the NYPD are quite damaging and have negatively affected the many Muslim Americans who were spied on in New Jersey and beyond.

On Monday, February 27, 2012, Kirsten Haglund (Miss America 2008) visited The College of New Jersey to talk about eating disorders and redefining what it means to be “beautiful.” She lectured about her own personal struggles with anorexia. The event was hosted by CAPS at TCNJ.

Kyle Smith had the opportunity to talk to her about a plethora of different topics, including the hit TLC show “Toddlers and Tiaras.” Kirsten and Kyle’s conversation is quite refreshingly honest, intelligent, and entertaining.
